Silent Profession LLC (“Silent Profession,” “we,” “us”) operates the website silentprofession.com (the “Site”). This policy explains what information the Site collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. The Site’s contact form asks for your name, email address, the service you are asking about, your location, and your message. You send it voluntarily when you submit the form.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs that may include your IP address, browser type, the pages you requested, and the date and time of your visit.
What we do not collect. The Site has no accounts, no checkout or payment pages, and no newsletter. We do not use analytics, advertising trackers, tracking cookies, or marketing pixels.
2. How we use information
We use what you send through the contact form for one purpose: to read and respond to your inquiry. We do not use it for marketing, we do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not build profiles about visitors.
3. How information is shared
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for marketing.
Your inquiry passes through a small number of service providers that help us run the Site and read your message:
- Our web hosting provider, which serves the Site and keeps the server logs described above.
- Contact Form 7, the WordPress plugin that delivers form submissions to us by email.
- Google Workspace, which hosts the inbox where inquiries arrive (shane@silentprofession.com).
These providers process information only to provide their service to us.
4. Retention
We keep inquiry emails as long as needed to respond to you and to keep ordinary business records. Server logs are kept for the period set by our hosting provider.
5. Security
The Site is served over HTTPS, so form submissions are encrypted in transit. Access to the inquiry inbox is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we also limit what we collect to what is needed to answer you.
6. Do Not Track
The Site does not track visitors across other websites, so its behavior does not change in response to Do Not Track signals.
7. Your choices
You may ask us to confirm what information we hold from your inquiry, or to delete it, by emailing shane@silentprofession.com. We honor deletion requests except where we must keep a record for legal reasons.
8. Children’s privacy
The Site offers business services for adults and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date above. Changes apply from the date they are posted.
